Alliant’s Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit properties (HRTC’s) revitalize communities through the combination of the historic tax credit and the low income housing tax credit.

Many of Alliant’s HRTC properties are also adaptive re-use properties. Adaptive re-use is a term used to describe a design, development and construction process intended to maintain the original structure while converting it to functional re-use as affordable housing. Examples of such Alliant HRTC adaptive re-use properties include former factories and schools turned into affordable housing units.
